MOST BEAUTIFUL AREA OF FRANCE

Learn French culinary secrets and wine appreciation in one of the most fabulous areas of
France, the Dordogne valley, famous throughout France for its unique cuisine.

Three half-days of cooking and wine lessons at the beautiful Chateau de Roumegouse, under
the supervision of owner and director Jean-Louis Laine. These culinary tour classes are organized
with three rotating work stations so guests can both participate and also observe the chef and
other guests who are cooking.

Stay exclusively in 4-star Michelin rated chateaux hotels, and enjoy exquisite culinary treats
(some of which you helped prepare!) and great regional wines.

Visit all the major attractions in the area as well

Tour the famous cliff-side village of Rocamadour.

Take a boat ride 300 feet underground
in the Gouffre de Padirac caverns.

Visit Peche Merle and Lascaux II caves to see prehistoric cave paintings which are among the
most famous in the world.

Day 5
Transfer to Vitrac to our next luxury hotel, the Domaine de Rochebois. Visit 3 of the "100
Most Beautiful Villages of France": Domme (a 13th century bastide), Beynac (the movie
"Chocolat" was filmed here), and La Roque Gageac. Hotel - Domaine de Rochebois.

Day 6
Visit village of Sarlat, then on to Lascaux to tour the world famous Lascaux II cave, visit La
Roque St. Christophe (troglodyte fortifications) and St. Leon sur Vezere (another of the "100
Most Beautiful Villages of France"), then finally tour the Chateau de Losse (Renaissance
chateau).

quality. Original cave closed to
public in 1963 to prevent damage
to paintings, but Lascaux II, an
exact duplication, opened in 1983.

Perigord." An educational and

Entry Fees- Fees for designated guided tours and attractions are paid by Beaux Voyages. Any other
visits or activities (examples: golf; balloon ride over Rocamadour, horseback riding) are at the guests
expense.

Visit Beynac and its remarkable chateau once captured by King
Richard the Lion Hearted (the movie "Chocolat" was filmed in
Beynac as well).

Day 1-
Meet at train station in Brive-la-Gaillarde. Transfer to hotel
(Chateau de Roumegouse). Group welcome and cocktail party
before dinner.

Day 2
Morning- Optional hot air balloon ride over Rocamadour cliff-side
village (one of the "100 Most Beautiful Villages of France"). Visit
Rocamadour. Afternoon- Cooking classes at Chateau de
Roumegouse restaurant under the supervision of owner Jean-
Louis Laine. Wine tasting class and discussion before dinner.

Day 3- Morning- Tour the Gouffre de Padirac caverns and take a
boat ride 300 ft. underground. Visit to a glass blower’s workshop.
Afternoon- Cooking and wine classes at Chateau de Roumegouse.

Day 4
Tour the world famous Peche Merle caves and museum and see
original cave paintings from 10,000 to 20,000 years ago. This is
one of the top attractions of its kind in the world. Afternoon-
